When I used to take a lot of photos back in the day of 35mm Cameras I had a fish eye lens and the effects were so fun to play with. So I decided to take that effect to a canvas. The lone canoe also holds some symbolism. The time in my life with the camera, brought a lot of alone time for me so my dreams were of single objects standing alone against the universe and elements, only to remain. Standing, fighting, resisting, remaining. I painted this lake scene in acrylic, on a regular stretched canvas, then found a black wooden frame with a rough grained texture, to round out the look.
